DataQualityFirst - Better data quality improves business performance!

What does Bernie Madoff have to do with MDM?

Core party data: an enterprise asset

Now of course we open the pandora's box of many many other questions that wait to be answered based on a consistently managed view of master data that includes party. Let’s digress for just a moment and expand the model to add a couple of additional concepts like what people bought from you, how you’ve interacted with them, how they prefer to be contacted and more about who they are.

Expanded model with core party data

Depending on where you sit in the enterprise you’d have a different interest but can work from the same set of master data facts – what we refer to as core party data. Important questions like what is our total exposure with a particular party across product and in the extended hierarchy that party participates in? Or share of wallet? Who are our most profitable customers? What is the adoption cycle for our products? Do we adhere to the privacy and contact preferences of our customers?

The foundation to answer all these questions is to manage your master data as an important asset to the business. Solving the party data problem is a great place to start
